Oonavara, designed by Willoughby Faulkner and completed in 1914, looks out on to the sea, small islands, rocks and sandy beaches of Rhosneigr bay.
The house has been sympathetically renovated keeping the best of the old whilst providing the modern comforts you want from a home away from home.
Ideal for families wanting a bucket and spade holiday or for groups who want to explore Anglesey and Snowdonia. Oonavara is light and airy in the summer and as it has central heating, an aga in the kitchen and open log fires in the sitting room and games room it is the perfect holiday home all year round.
Large studded front door opens on to a light, spacious parquet floored double height hall (with balcony over) with plenty of room for hanging coats, wellies and beach paraphenalia with door leading to:
Tiled wetroom with bath (with shower head), seperate shower, basin and toilet
Laundry room with Maytag washer and dryer (takes 10kg washing and takes 1 hour in all)Butlers pantry leading to:
Smallbone kitchen with tiled floor and double aspect with views of the sea, 2 oven aga, electric grill/cooker and hob, breakfast table, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, microwave drinks fridge and french doors leading to south west facing terrace, window seats and room for dogs. The kitchen is fully equiped with enough for at least 12.
Large Dining room
The paquet floored dining room is spacious with dining table and chairs which can be extended to seat in excess of 12. Food can be served from the sideboards, one of which contains a Belling food/plate warmer. The dining room has a bay window & views of the bay.
The parquet floored, double height games room used to be the dance floor in the house, it can be used for this as it has a good quality amplifier and CD player. But as it also boasts an inglenook fireplace with open fire and table football it can be the perfect spot to do jigsaws and games.
The sun room is a bay at the front of the house off the Games room, with 180 degree panoramic windows looking out over the bay and the sea which gives no end of entertainment; be it the kitesurfers, the stormy weather or the stunning sunsets.
Folding doors seperate the games room from the sitting room so the sitting room can be made to create a large open space or a cosy comfortable room with a warm fire and a pool table.
The original Cloackroom gives a more convenient toilet close to the reception rooms and leads off the original hall which has beautiful green slate flooring and stairs leading to the upper floor.
